Covid-19 Support for families in GME
At a time that is challenging for everyone and when we are experiencing huge changes in the way we live our lives; parents have also been tasked with supporting their child’s learning at home for the remainder of this school year.
We know that schools and teachers are working hard to ensure that schoolwork can continue at home and we have also seen teachers, organisations and, individuals sharing resources on social media in support of pupils’ learning at home.
Resources for GME
There are numerous resources available for GME pupils, which is to be commended, but we know that some parents have been slightly overwhelmed and confused as to the suitability of resources for the age and stage of their child. Under this, our new ‘Support for parents: Covid-19’ page we'll be providing lists of the available resources, arranged in relevant age ranges - from pre-school to secondary.
On the Support Materials page you'll also find our series of information postcards aimed at introducing new parents to GME.
These cover Tips for Using Gaelic at Home, Do's and Don'ts, Who's Who and Useful Links.
These are PDF files with active links so the web sites and information you need as just a few clicks away.
We hope that parents find this useful. Well update the information regularly as different resources become available.
